Re: not being able to install updates

Oh boy, I am so very sorry for this misunderstanding. I didn't say exactly
what the problem is and I have led you down the wrong road. What I meant to
say is this: In my Windows Live Mail account, I see that someone from the
group meaning you has answered my question. When I click on the web site to
read your answer, I get to the web site, but the page is blank. Now I must
say, for some reason that this is not happening today, so I don't get it.
Please accept my sincerest apologies for not saying the proper words. I am
sorry. The last thing I want to do is upset anyone. Thanks for your advice.

Some of you have sent me an email about what to do with my problem
and when I click on the url, it goes to the page, but there isn't
anything there. What have I done to this computer? I want to read
your answers to my problems.

None of "us" have sent you any emails. You may have enabled the
Email Notification option for replies to your original post so that
MS sends you emails. The fact that the links in the emails don't
work isn't our problem (but MS should fix this longstanding bug).
Your thread & replies to it can be found here:

Clorey,
Please stick to the original thread. ;-)
It's easier for us to provide you with comprehensive help as opposed to
guessing what else might have been told to you. I don't believe anyone has
sent you email other than the automated newsgroups feature - but if they
have and have not also posted the answer in the public newsgroup - I would
suggest *not* following said advice. There are few problems that would be
posted here that should lead to a private conversation.
