Error with sp3

Hi,

I ahve just reinstalled windows xp home 5 weeks ago and i contacted
microsoft and they said i need to pass them some info from my computer and
send the stuff to them but i refuse doing it?. Does anyone know how i can get
the red icon at the buttom of the screen off, it is doing my head-in and i am
thinking of reinstalling windows again.

I am thinking of as well before i reinstall windows that i uninstall sp3 and
put sp2 back on and see if the icon goes, if not i'm going to rebuild my
computer all again.
