Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

No anti-virus application, no firewall, and no anti-spyware application providing any real-time protection whatsoever?

I have Windows XP SP2. IE 6. When I launch, it gives the message that the
page I am trying to view cannot be displayed. On the very top of the browser
where it says MIE it also says cannot find server. It currently does not
have an actiive anti-virus monitoring program.

You do NOT want your computer connected to the internet without having a
firewall enabled! Please enable the Windows Firewall immediately.

What anti-virus application is installed? Are its definitions up-to-date?

Are you running WinXP SP2 or WinXP SP3?

Are you running IE6 or IE7? What happens when you try to open a webpage
using IE (e.g., you get a "Page cannot be displayed" error; IE doesn't work
at all)?

I am running Windows XP Professional. I installed update KB951748. I don't
have any anti-spyware or third party firewall installed. Just Windows
Firewall which I have turned off.

We're not mindreaders, Bryan. Unless you can tell us (1) your Windows
version, (2) what update(s) you installed, and (3) what anti-virus,
anti-spyware, and/or third-party firewall you have installed, you'll have
to seek assistance directly from MS.

Tip: Temporarily disable real-time protection by your anti-virus and/or
anti-spyware applications (e.g., CounterSpy, Spysweeper, Spybot, AVG
Anti-Spyware) and/or any third-party firewall (e.g., ZA) before
attempting
to install the update(s). If you disable a third-party firewall, do NOT
connect to the internet without having the Windows Firewall enabled!

Sorry. I am unable to access the internet after installing the latest
updates. I spent 2 hrs. on the phone with tech support last night
making
sure that all the settings on my computer were correct and everything
was
functioning properly. Everything checked out. I have un-installed the
recent
update and have done a system restore to a functioning day. As someone
else
recommended, I also tried resetting my broadband box. No joy. I have 3
computers plugged into the same wired router. 2 computers downloaded
the
latest update the 3rd. did not. That one has no issues accessing the
internet. If you need any other specific info please let me know. I
would
like to get these computers up and running asap. Thank You

Everyone has the same problem but I can't seem to get mine resolved.
I
have
tried un-installing the update from add/remove programs. I also
tried
a
system restore all the way back to the 3rd. I still cannot get on
the
net.
Any ideas......?
