RE: Installed latest security update and lost internet connection

As I expected kb951748 was the problem and the cause was an incmpatibility
with Zone Alarm.

Best advice:

Do a System Restore.
Go on line and check for the Windows Security Update kb
and
Check with your firewall software provider ESPECIALLY Zone Alarm.

'connected' but the PC is not recieving network traffic. DNS suffix
(comcast.net) is accurate, DHCP is enabled, ipconfig/release/renew all work
and give a valid IP address. I removed the router from the connection and
wired the PC directly to the cable modem. ISP claims they can ping the modem.
My pings from the PC timeout. Disabled Symantic Internet Security, also.
Still, do not receive network traffic. Any help is appreciated.
