Hiding the update doesn't get rid of the *vulnerability* that the update addresses. Why not see if this MSKB describes the issue and how to resolve it? -
Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB936181) may repeatedly appear in the update list on Microsoft Update or on Windows Update
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941729
Some *thing* is locking the msxml file in process and preventing it from being replaced. It can be printing software [ as in HP ] or the issue may be related to security software.

I haven't got Kodak easyshare, but i've had the same problem. I found that if you go to custom insall and uncheck the KB936181 update then click "close", check the box for "dont show me this update again". problem solved..

I believe the Kodak easyshare is the problem also.
