The above indicates that the system is now waiting in line [in a queue] and when it's number comes up, the updates will be downloaded.
Please do this ... go to the WU in the Control Panel and check for updates once more. Then post the *end* of the WindowsUpdate.log as that is the section that contains the latest entries.
Post the last 50 or so lines of the log, please.

Looks lke restoring prior to this date is not an option. is there another place that stores the updates which have taken place, as I can't bring up the windows update control panel screen. if I could see the updates, maybe i could back them out one at a time, or is the only option going back through the log. i.e. how do you uninstall an update when the update control panel won't display?
