RE: WindowsXP SP3

Yes. I did not disable my anti-virus software, though. The SP3 download,
though it took hours, said it was complete and that I needed to restart my
computer. However, it did not restart after I selected that option. I had to
start it up myself. Now that I have done the System Restore, SP3 is not
listed in my programs. I have run an anti-virus and anti-spyware scan and
everything looks clean. FYI- my MSN Internet program is not listed in my
programs either. I have a copy of MSN 9.5 coming by mail. Do you think that
will fix my problem?

Hello:
I recently formatted my hard drive due to misc. problems. I was able to go
online for Windows Updates though very slow using dial-up. I downloaded SP3
the other night. 22 min download took hours. After computer restart, I am
unable to get online. Actually, MSN sign-on screen says unable to connect-try
later. But bottom corner of sign-on screen says I'm connected and my phone
has data noise. Unable to get any further with MSN, though I can get online
thru IE. What gives? I did System Restore to point from April. Still having
problems. MSN Internet tech no help. HELP!
