Depends on how you downloaded it. If you get it from the download center, it'll
be an executable file which you'll have to double-click. If you download it via
Windows Update it should start by itself. I'm not sure whether the CD will
autorun or not.
You'll be presented with several dialogs at the start of the installation, such
as licensing terms, so it should be obvious whether it's installed or not.
