I've now 'installed' this monstrosity 4 times over the past day, only to find.
that it killed my computer each time. I've been up-to-date with my patches
(up to and including SP2 on XP, but SP3 is awful; it seems to install, makes
a backup, then goes to restart....and then doesn't. Even in sfae mode,
there's no hope, so I'm back to 'F10 world' each time. As I'm sure anyone
can attest, re-initializing from the recovery partition on the drive deletes
nearly everything you've done over the years. I note that others are
experiencing similar problems...any ideas as to why my computer goes to start
but can't get past the Windows start-up screen?
