That registry edit fix failed on my laptop either freezing or giving the blue
screen of death. However, a reset loads windows normally again. But I still
cannot recieve SP3 through windows update which baffles me as wikipedia and
news pages says it is available through windows update. Is this a server
issue with microsoft because this is confusing me and doesn't make any sense.
BUT with all the problems so far with SP3, this might be a blessing in
disguise.

Loooking on this discussion board, i can see that there are problems with
sp3, however I still decided to go and download it.

BUT when I go to the windows update website to get SP3, it tells me that
infact there are no critical updates to install which means it does not show
service pack 3. I do not understand why as I have service pack 2 installed
and the update was put on windows update this morning. Anyone know why i have
currently denied access to service pack 3? I AM A HOME USER SO THE CONFLICT
ISSUE WITH SP3 DOES NOT AFFECT ME.

Help would be appreciated because at least you guys on this board can
download SP3.
