Re: Microsoft Presenter Mouse 8000 Transciever broke after SP1

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Have you tried Methods 1 and 2 in KB948187? Have you contacted the manufacturer of the mouse?

Hi,
The device installs perfectly, but after installation, the radio buttons
disappear and it will not show up in either device manager or the bluetooth
devices. And by that I mean, it does not show up as un-installed or
installed.
This is as if the device has not been pluged in at all, when device manager
does not recognize the device is connected to the computer.
I appreciate any response.
Thx.

Hi,
After intallation of Vista SP1, my bluetooth device that is shipped with
my
presenter mouse 8000 no longer is able to add any device.
Before upgrading to SP1 I saw the problems with DELL bluetooth, but I
wouldn't think this was related to microsoft itself as well.
I still can use the mouse after SP1 installation , but I cannot add any
other devices. I also have to mention that re-installing the microsoft
Intellipoint 6.2 does not resolve the issue. What's more, after initiating
the re-installation, the bluetooth icons and radio buttons in device
manager
temporarily appear, but soon after (10 sec) they disappear. If connection
between the mouse and the transciever is terminated, Microsoft Mouse
software needs to be used to re-establish the connections, and Windows
bluetooth manager is non-funtional.
I have also tried switching to HArdware more from software mode but that
doesn't make any changes. I have tried to restart services but that was
useless as well.
I had no choice but to rollback to pre-SP1. Unfortunately after rollback,
Software mode for the bluetooth device no longer works and windows is
unable
to detect any device. Only the mouse works and it doesn't show up in the
connected devices list. Hardware mode, however, works and I can conncet
new
devices in the device list.
I really appreciate it if someone could help me with this.
I appreciate any response,
Thx!
