I downloaded hardware updates from windows update

them on my pc when I
use that option, Can anybody help please?
Can't you get the latest drivers from HP's support
website? Download them.
Then go to update drivers screen, point to them, and the
updated drivers should install.
MS drivers seem to be more trouble than they are worth,
and in any case if your printer was working fine then the
motto is "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it".
Windows updates seem to be more trouble than they are worth.
"If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it" should be applied in this case
especially. Always read what the updates do and never just update because
you think you are gaining something. Most of the time you are NOT and are
asking for trouble.
