Windows update will not install. Have read *lots* of discussions in the
Windows Vista group and best advice I can find is dated around Feb '08. It
says to uninstall (or remove) the .NET Framework. Exactly what does this
mean?
Windows Explorer found two items (I don't know if I should call them
programs or applications) The first is called Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Configuration The second is called Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Wizards
Finally, I found two paths
C:\Windows\MicrosoftNET\Framework\v1.1.4322\ConfigWizards.exe another in the
v1.1.4322 folder called mscorcfg.msc
Exploring the Framework folder is, well, *whew* so much stuff in there my
eyes are watery and my brain is on overload. And I am wondering *why* did I
even try to install the silly update in the first place?!
Anyway, how much of all of the Framework folder should I delete? I don't
want to accidentally delete files that might be needed by another program
that I still want to use.
I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit which was upgraded from XP Media Ctr
Edition
