I can find only one (1) other thread here involving KB938371 and those errors and it's yours! Why did you begin a new thread?

By any chance, do you have or did you ever have a beta build of Vista SP1 installed?

Please keep us posted on what support recommends as a fix.

attempting to install the update(s). If you disable the third-party
firewall, make certain that you enable the Windows Firewall!
