Update (KB928366) is Service Pack 1 for .NET Framework 1.1. Just download
it directly from the Microsoft Download Center. When you run it, and it
begins to install Service Pack 1, it will probably stop and say: Service
Pack 1 already installed, would you like to reinstall it? Answer "yes"
and your problems are solved.

Not that I don't trust you but .NET SP1 at the Download Center has a date
of 2004. The failing with KB928366 has just started. Am I understanding
the relationship between KB928366 and the recently failures right?

Is KB928366 referring to the 2004 .NET SP1 and what we're experiencing with
live update is just maintenance against that or is KB928366 the maintenance
update that's failing?
