Re: Unable to install XP windows updates

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I've tried this, to no avail. I'm still unable to install Windows Updates.
I've even tried repartitioning and re-installing XPSP2. Any other potential
fixes?

Try the following:-

Click Start, select run and type the following (pressing okay after each one):-

net.exe stop wuauserv

regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 MSXML3.dll

net.exe start wuauserv

Try WU again.
