Thank you. Is the rest of your last post a new question?

Yes, it worked great... Please read this and let me know what you think.
Hello everyone I hope someone can help me this is the second time Vista
has crashed on me and the only way I can use my computer is to format and
reload.
I am running 2 hard drivers in a raid 0 stripping, when I load Vista it
wants a driver for the raid and its controler now windows update will find a
driver but when I go to load it I get error code 80070103.
After I load all the other Vista updates and try to load the driver again
I get a screen telling me that it can not load because the name is already
in use.
Now this would not be a problem but everytime I boot windows it wants the
driver and wants me to reboot the system to load it.
So I researched the error code found an up date for it on the help site
and loaded it, worked great... Driver loaded. So I rebooted the system to
finnish loading the driver and windows crashed can't even get the safe mode
to load up....
So I tried repairing windows from the install disk. No help there I get
the error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Can anyone help me so I don't have to
reformat again I am working from a second computer of mine hoping that I
will not have to go through the pains of rebuilding the whole system again.
Thanks, Ben.

Where have you been hiding that page?! Sweet!
TaurArian wrote:Hi Ben, basically 8000FFFF stands for "Generic Unexpected error" which
isn't
too helpful.
This could be because of corruption in the registry, a Third party
program
is affecting the WU Service (anti-spwyare programs, Internet/web
accelerators, Firewall/Anti-Virus programs) or the downloaded file is
corrupt.
Have a look at: http://taurarian.mvps.org/WU_Vista/vista.htm
