Re: How to reinstall cummulative update KB939653 for IE7&Vista32

My system is fully patched. I'm not saying that cumulative KB939653
will fix my problem. What I found was that maybe *uninstalling* it
could help. But it didn't so now I'm concerned about my security.

I just need to hear that if my system is fully patched, I don't need
that KB939653 anymore :)

Thanks.

If the machine is currently fully patched, another Cumulative Security

installing 939653 won't fix your problem, whatever it is.

Hello.

Recently, I bought a Dell Inspiron 1520 with Vista Home Premium 32
bits (Spanish language).  It came with several updates preinstalled.

Yesterday I had problems of connectivity while trying to surf in IE7.
I did some research and somebody recommended uninstalling the
Cummulative security update for IE7 KB939653.  I did so but I found
out that this update wasn't the cause.

Now I want to reinstall that update, so I downloaded it from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=86392e8d-098....
(looks like it's the same update for both english & spanish versions
of Vista)

I launched the installer but after a few seconds it popped up a
message saying that this update doesn't apply to my system.

Now I don't know if my security is affected or if I don't need that
update anymore (maybe it was completely replaced with a more recent
cummulative update).

Do you have any suggestion for me?

Thanks,
