Vista Upgrades
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
A friend has a laptop running Vista Home Premium. When she tries to download
upgrades, either by setting automatic updates on, or manually, the system
keeps looking for updates until she stops it or sometimes she gets an error
message:windowupdate_8000ffff. You get a similar response if you try to
update Windows Defender.
