Hi PA Bear

Thanks for your response.
I have top posted my reply so at to retain the entire Ng posting.

I though I had posted Error Code : 0x8007F0DA in one of my replies in this
Ng , looks like I didn't.

I did compare the errors listed on bleepingcomputer.com and there was no
entry for Error Code : 0x8007F0DA , I tried doing resolution 1 and
resolution 2 and it didn't work .
I have checked out all the other links that you have posted and none of them
really can fix my problem.

I have submitted a support incident to MS detailing my problem and the steps
that I have taken to fix it along with all the log files that they have
requested.

So now I will have to wait for a reply.

Thank you for all the time you have spent trying to fix my update problem.

When I get an anwser and a fix for the update problem I will post it back in
this Ng.

Did you look for the 0x8007F0DA error (which you didn't mention in your
first post to /this/ newsgroup) at either of the pages above?

Are the updates offered at and are you able to install them via
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com (i.e., not via Automatic Updates)?

Have you considered opening a free support incident? (Did I mention the
support is free?!)

---------------------------------
Are the updates in question not offered at Windows/Microsoft Update
website
(possibly as Hidden updates)?

The updates that are offered are 7 security updates and 3 XP updates ,
including the original one that I wanted (KB933360) which is a daylight
savings patch.

Update for Windows XP (KB938828)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB921503)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB938829)
Security Update for Windows Media Player 9 (KB936782)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB938127)
Update for Windows XP (KB933360)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB936021)
Security Update for Outlook Express for Windows XP (KB941202)
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP
(KB939653)

I want to be able to remove the downloaded updates ( not installed )
that
I
have on my computer so that I can start fresh again to do the updates.

See Method 10 in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822798 > In Step 4,
don't
empty the contents of %system%\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder,
delete
the folder itself > now do Steps #6 and #7.

=====================================
I tried method 10 that you have suggested , I was able to re-download the
updates but they failed to
install.
I also disabled my anti -virus software , which I have been doing for the
last day or so when trying to do the updates.

Did that.

Generally , I have tried just about everything mentioned in all the links
people have mentioned , I have also rechecked everything else and I have
added the MS updates sites to "Trusted Sites" , enabled cookies for
microsoft.com and windows.update.com
Also it is not a MTU problem when downloading because my other secondary
XP
Pro machine that is connected to the same router has no problems in
updating
and I have switched on /off my firewall without any noticable results.

I have not installed any new programs nor have I had any problems lately
with XP.

I have tried everything that everybody has suggested and I am still
unable
to fix the problem , I have never seed a problem likt it.

Have you got any other suggestions ?

Thanks.
