The NVIDIA driver update continues to fail on my Dell XPS 410. It
has been failing since 4/10/07 to update. I tried multiple times
myself to update it today and yep failure again. Any suggestions? I
have cable connection, therefore no worries about disconnection
problems.

If you are trying to get this 'update' from Windows Updates (Microsoft
Updates) --> STOP NOW.

Microsoft did not make the hardware in your system. The driver they are
trying to give you is likely old and *not* the best driver out there. What
they have is a driver that NVidia likely PAID them to approve and place on
their sites. What you should do is get the driver for your video card
straight from the manufacturer.

Graphics Driver --> GeForce Series 8 (You can choose this - it takes you to
the ForceWare Release 162 release) --> whatever OS you have... You did not
say.

It was released on July 26, 2007 by the company that actually manufacturered
your video chipset. ;-)

Having a Dell - you should also get your drivers *from Dell* if it is not
something like a video card - where the manufacturer will be more likely to
have the latest/greatest.

The point being - do not get drivers for non-Microsoft produced hardware
from thw Windows/Microsoft Updates areas. Microsoft did not create the
hardware - why would they be the one you would choose to support it? ;-)
