Hi there,
I assume with the software creator you are refering to Microsoft?
If so:
Your preinstalled version is oem and no end user support is given bij
microsoft for oem versions, the only support given for windwos oem versions
is for critical updates as far as I know.
For direct support you must contact the manufacturer, dell packard bell, hp
or whatever brand you bought.
Asking here is not a bad idea however;)
You will not be able to install any updates not suitable for your windows
version so no need to worry. apoint of advice: skip any driver updates from
MS unless it is MSsoft hardware.
If it are really only Xp updates showing a more advanced user might be able
to assist you further I hope.
Beste regards,
Michel Denie

My computer is brand new and it has had only Windows Vista installed on
it.
My question:
Why when I get a Download Notification and then go to the Microsoft
Download
Center are the programs listed for Windows XP instead of Windows Vista? I
don't want to download anything that will create problems as I'm having
enough trouble just trying to get software installed when I don't know if
it
is compatible or not, especially when the software creator doesn't respond
to
customer service emails.
Any help with be appreciated.
