Click OK or press Enter

Back to Start > Run > type in

%windir%\softwaredistribution
Click OK or press Enter

Delete ALL of the subfolders of SoftwareDistribution
Close the window
Download and SAVE:

Windows Update Agent 3.0 [x86-32bit]
http://download.windowsupdate.com/v7/windowsupdate/redist/standalone/WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe

After the downloads complete close the browser and any other open programs
Install WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe
Now install Windows2000-KB927891-x86-ENU.EXE
Restart the system

IF the Automatic Updates service is set to Automatic then it will
restart upon rebooting

Go back to Start > Run > type in

wuauclt /detectnow
Click OK or press Enter
The updates *should* come down now
