Re: I've got the same problem and restoring the system to an earlier d

Hi there,

Restoring the system you should try in safe mode.(pressing F5 during
booting) you can also try rolling back on the driver in safe mode if normal
mode is not booting or try during booting press F8 and choose last known
good configuration.

Further on it is advised to make system backups with norton ghost or a
simulair program before proceeding with any install of software or patches
so in case your system ends up unusable you can restore without a problem.

Be sure your documents are backed in a safe location and your email.

Best regards,
Michel Denie

Hello. I've got exactly the same problem and restoring the system to an
earlier date won't work simply because when the notebook tries to restart,
the original problem is there once again: the system cannot progress
further
than the loading bar screen. I haven´t installed any software other than
the
Windows Update that is downloaded automatically.

PLEASE, HELP!!!!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

After installing updates from Windows Update, Windows only reaches the
loading bar screen on the next boot-up. Booting into Safe Mode, then
restarting Windows in its normal mode seems to fix the problem.

The problem only seemed to occur after Windows crashed while installing a
Creative Audigy soundcard driver from Windows Update.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade Edition, upgraded from Windows
XP
Home Edition. Do you have any suggestions as to why this is occurring,
and
how to fix it?
