As a first, preliminary, response: please disable all anti-virus,
anti-spyware, popup-blocker, download accelerator, third-party firewall, and
try again. If you disabled a third-party firewall, then re-enable Windows
Firewall for the duration.

If the problem recurs, please look out for an 8-digit error number.
