1. If "Security Update for Windows XP (KB931784)" is listed in Add/Remove Programs, uninstall it and reboot.
2. Download the update from this link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=eeaee4a7-4858-4b6b-9c6d-a9f1eae19b51 (Save it to your desktop; do NOT Run it!)
3. Reboot into Safe Mode.
4. Double-click on the saved file (WindowsXP-KB931784-x86-ENU.exe) to install it.
5. Reboot into Windows.

which the update history shows this is on my pc but continues to pop-up
thru
auto update saying it is ready to download.When i check the windows update
site it shows 0.0mbs but can be downloaded again.Is anyone having this
problem with updates showing up that they already have installed?
