Re: Installation Failed for SP2 on Server 2003

Adding to Shenan's excellent answer is that the SP2 download is 375mb alone.

Hi,

I'm trying to install service pack 2 on on our server, which has Windows
Server 2003 SP1 on it currently. I keep getting error 0x80070070 - not enough
disk space.

I've done a disk cleanup etc, and there is 400Mb of free space (whoever put
the partitions in when we got the server wasn't very clever - the C:\ drive
is only 4Gb).
I can't remove any applications as they are all used. The download size for
SP2 is showing at 120Mb, so I can't see why there is a problem.

I have even tried going to environement variables and changing the Temp and
WINNT\temp folders to point at another drive, incase it is just a temporary
space issue for the installation process (this worked when carrying out an
upgrade to our business system), but this doesn't seem to have any effect.

Does anyone have any ideas?
