RE: ATI Driver Problems

Hi Cosco,
The Radeon CCC package v7.2 seems to have many issues, not the least of
which is BSOD while playing certain games and constant dumping out to the
desktop. Serious pixelation occurs with Doom 3 and F.E.A.R. Lucily, I had the
original v7.1 CCC package to fall back on. Open Control Panel and Programs
and Features. Look for the ATI Catalyst Install Manager. Highlight it and
choose "change" and navigate through the dialogs. What you want to do is
remove everything "ATI". Reboot, even if it doesn't prompt you. Try to get
the v7.1 CCC package from ATIAMD web page and install it. I know that the
drivers provided in VISTA are not full featured, but are way better than v7.2
ATI stuff if you can't get the v7.1 CCC package.
Good luck

Hello everyone,
I recently installed Windows Vista ( Ultimate ).
At the beginning Vista installed my Videocard drivers so AeroGlass worked
corectly
but although the drivers waren't installed corectly because the maximum
resolution
i could choose was "1200x1024" , so i decided to installed my XP videocard
drivers.
I installed them and got incompatibility problems. Ok! then i got into
ati.com and
downloaded my latesc ati drivers ( catalyst 7.2 for vista) . ok installed
the drivers..
rebooted and i get this error when my pc stars or when i try to access
Cathalyst control center or other *ATI* software installed.

This is the error:
"No ATI graphics driver is installed, or the ATI driver is not functioning
properly. Please install the ATI driver appropriate for your ATI hardware."

i really don't know what to do..
i would really need some help..

I tried to update my videocard with windows update but.. it installs the new
drivers but it's the orange error mark over it in Device services .. and when
i click on driver details it states: Error 43 :-/ .. turned off because aint
working properly.
