Navigate to the WINDOWS directory (folder).
Check to see if either of these folders is present -

$NtUninstallKB925672$
$NtUninstallKB927978$

Let us know if they are present, please.

Besides your User Account, *System* needs to have Full Control and Read
perms for this update to install properly.

However, the installation was interrupted with the following message:

Could not open key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\Msxml2.DOMDocument.4.0\CLSID. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

Following MowGreen's advice (to another user in another thread ...) I used regedit.exe to check :

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Msxml2.DOMDocument.4.0\CLSID

and :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Msxml2.DOMDocument.4.0\CLSID

but both show my account (the computer administrator) as having Full Control and Read permissions.

Help!

Where do I go from here, please?
