Ha, ha, ha...
Yes, many are calling Windows Genuine Advantage "malware" as a derrogatory reference but not
in a "real" sense.
More like spyware, in the real sense. Vista will have a more advanced one that could be called a combination of spyware and "killswitchware".
No anti malware applications I know of will flag the genuine WGA as
malware.
Of course not, who would want to bring on Microsoft's wrath and the subsequent financial problems?
There ARE fake Windows Genuine Advantage Trojans but they do NOT come from Microsoft. One
actually runs as a NT Service.
I'm sure there are.
