I need help too. I am unable to install Security Update for Microsoft .NET
Framework, Version 2.0 (KB922770). The installation process took forever and
then finally aborted. The other 6 updates apparently installed normally.
If I get a failed installation (rarely), I go back to Windows Update and try
to install it again. But this time it isn't available to re-install. My
update history says it failed to install KB922770

More importantly does it later say it installed the same update successfully?
That "history" is as much a log as a current status report.

with an error code of 0x669, but I cannot find the meaning of this code in the Microsoft site.

Try searching for the decimal equivalent of that hex code instead?

(Live Search for

code is not available on Windows Installer version 1.0.

So, I suspect you may have latched onto what is not the most significant code
from that incident. As Maurice asks "Where did you see that code?
In the WindowsUpdate.log? Did you allow the reboot to occur?

Interestingly, I checked Add/Remove Programs and it appears to be installed
okay. However, when I try to remove it, the process just hangs.

Why are you trying to remove it?

Now I am
getting a runtime error when I close my browser. I was unable to do a system
restore that takes me back to a point before these updates come in.

These symptoms would seem to indicate that your problems go beyond
just the one update your "Me too!" is based on.
I think that your incident is sufficiently different from the OP
that you should start your own discussion (with a more descriptive Subject)
and stop confusing this one by trying to get your incident discussed in it.
BTW if you would like an excuse the code in this discussion's Subject
is also a summary code so it really is not distinct enough to discourage
possible "piggybackers" anyway. ; )
