This error can be caused by faulty RAM or hard disk, or it might be a
product activation problem.
Who is the manufacturer of your motherboard chipset? Intel?
nVidia? Via?
Robin, I take it, it is Intel...as it has the intel inside sticker on
front (pentium 4)
That's the make of the processor, not necessarily the motherboard chipset.
Open Device Manager, expand "System devices" and look for a manufacturer
name associated with things like "AGP host to PCI bridge" and so on.
the messege i get is this......
Installation Failure
Error Code: 0x800703E7
Literally, this means "Error_Swaperror - Error performing inpage operation"
and it might indicate some form of hardware problem with RAM or hard disk.
These might be genuine hardware errors (check out your RAM and hard disk) or
they might be curable with a driver update.
