May also want to clean up your machine a bit before.. uninstall
unneeded/unused applications from the control panel, check for updated
hardware drivers (and install them), check for updated application patches
(and install them), run antispyware (at least 3 or 4 different ones), run
antivirus (an online one), a chkdsk and defrag.
