This is yet more example of pure supposition - no
evidence from anyone
I said it was "just a suspicion." Regardless, I'm not here to give
evidence - this isn't a courtroom, I'm not an investigator, and you're
not the judge or jury.
AH! - the key word - NORTON!!!! (why was I
waiting for that?)
I don't have a clue why you would be waiting for that. I've already
said, several times, that the anti-virus software was turned off. As
such, Norton AV did not contribute to the situation I described in any
manner whatsoever. So why would that be "the key word" in this regard?
Actually, if you had taken the time to read my messages, you might
have noticed I said just the opposite - anti-virus software (Norton)
would have likely prevented the viruses on my computer - the only
times I've experienced a virus is when anti-virus software (Norton) is
disabled. Indeed, that is the very premise of the first message I
posted to this thread in response to another person's suggestion to
turn off anti-virus software.
Another trashed my system so bad, Norton
didn't even get a chance to run afterwards.
Both it and another had to be fixed manually
(one fixed only by restoring my drive from
a backup)
Yup - that smacks of Norton all over
Huh? What smacks of Norton? At this point, you're not even making
sense. A virus trashes my computer to the point it will not startup
properly, and you think that smacks of Norton? In realitly, I think
your zeal to trash Norton may be hindering capacity for rational
thought - and that hinders any possibility for rational discussion. So
while I intended to end my part in this discussion earlier, I will
definately end it now. Once again, take care, Noel.
