Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Do you have, or have you ever had, IE7 installed?

I did try to install the beta version a month or so ago, but the
installer said it was unable to install so no changes were made. I
just gave up on installing that to wait until the final release came
out.

Either (a) the updates are not installing for the same reason as IE7 would
not, or (b) some part of the IE7 failed installation is preventing further
updates for IE6 - possibly something in the registry.

At this stage, I don't have any immediate suggestions. Anyone else got any
ideas?
