Re: windows genuine validation tool install over and over again

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi Dirk,

I have tried your suggestion but I'm still having the same issue. What
happens is that everytime I go to windows update, select custom, and
under details, this is what I see
"Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (KB892130)
0 KB , 0 minutes (Downloaded; ready to install)
The Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool enables you to verify
that your copy of Microsoft Windows is genuine. The tool validates your
Windows installation by checking Windows Product Identification and
Product Activation status.

Total: 0 KB , 0 minutes (Downloaded; ready to install)"

Then I install it and it installs successfully. However, when I go
back to do a windows update again, I get the same thing under details.
