I agree there is a contradiction there, I just checked my add/remove.
The only thing I can suggest if possible those who didn't want the update use a
System Restore.
For others, don't accept the download if you're concerned. No need to turn off
Automatic Updates but select either "Notify Only" or "Download but do not
install" option."
Stop Microsoft/Windows Update from nagging about the update - check the "Don't
tell me about it again" box
