You receive a "0x80070020 The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" error message when you try to download an update from Windows Update or from Microsoft Update

Article suggests that a virus scanner could be interrupting the site.

Hi,
I've got a clean install of Windows Server 2003 R2. It refuses to update from the Windows Update site. If I go to IE's Tools menu and choose Windows Update, I get to "Get the latest Windows Update software". If I click Install Now, it gets to 100% downloaded then dies with error 0x80070020 and says "the website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view". If I click the link for Microsoft Update I get to the license agreement, then it does a download and I get the same error listed above. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark
