Thank you for joining the freezing fraction! ;-) You wrote very interesting things:

I have just experienced the same symptom as I prepared a brand new
PC for one of my customers. Right after WGA is installed and I
select Custom or Express the system locks.

So far to the advice "Make a clean setup!"

This is a fresh install of WinXP Pro SP2 on a Foxconn NF4UK8AA
motherboard with nVidia nForce chipset and network controller. Any
chance the hardware is a problem?
