Re: Flash8.ocx is crashing IE 6

Again, you refuse too understand that this update has caused problems and
Tech Support will advise to delete it if the problems cannot be resolved.
Apparently these updates are "critical" only if they work. If they don't
work (or mess up other applications) then you "don't really need
them"........according to tech support.
Hopefully, one day you will discern the duplicity in this approach to
customer relations and get off your high horse insisting that these problems
are only on the 'users' end of things.

Well that's exactly what the head honchos in Dallas Tech Support are
telling
me.

I still doubt that.

They are also saying that no "fix" for these updates....... for Windows
98SE will be forthcoming although they recognize there is a problem with
these OS that the published fixes don't address.

Although I doubt that too (and proofed it doesn't happen at least on a plain
Windows 98 in one of our previous "discussions"), the user you've advised to
uninstall KB905915 is *not* using Windows 98 but Windows XP.

Please don't accuse me of
"negligence" when I am suggesting something that has worked for several
systems.

See above and see the security hole you've suggested them to open on their
systems cause of your plain dumb suggestion to uninstall KB905915 (or
KB896688). You must be aware of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905915 and
the links to other KB articles.
