Thank-you Gewelo, it would appear that the 'Hotfix' suggested is for Panda
2004 and will be rejected by Panda 2005. the problem does appear to be
within Panda..
I am currently shadowing your second action which is a 35MB download of an
update to Panda 2005. I have paused the update in my download accelerator
for the moment as it is a 2 and-a-bit hour op on my modem....finish that
later...
No reply from the techies at Panda still and yes, those awful user names and
passwords. had a bit of a problem with mine but the system new my e-mail on
the password prompt and sent aninstant response to my Inbox.....more later
