I followed your instructions again.....no luck. What a bummer! The sites you
sent me about the Update Page don't explain (as far as I can tell) the
Active X issues with this update. I can only conclude that this Update is
another Microsoft Update "Turkey"......with all the dressings.

Of course I am still open to solving this but can't believe, based on what I
have read about KB896688, that it is only specifically problematic to my
computer. Just google kb896688 and see what shows up.

Anyway, thanks for trying....have a good 'Gobbler' (if you gobble) and let
me know if there are any new ideas about this issue.
