Please refrain from using all caps for most of a message.
Multiple punctuation marks, as well, are extremely difficult to fathom.

First off, SP2 is a recommended update for SP1 Windows XP systems.
Secondly, you should be able to apply post-SP2 patches for your system
whether or not you have installed SP2 in most cases, as SP1 Windows XP is
supported until late 2006. Just because it mentions "SP2" in some fashion
is just to designate its location in the overall pattern - or after SP2.

Lastly - what problems did you have with SP2? We may be able to help you
correct these and actually get on track.

Many people had trouble with SP2 because they did not do a few things to
prepare.. like:

- Check their motherboard manufacturer for a BIOS update and flash the BIOS
with the update.
- Scan for and eliminate all spyware/adware/malware on their system with
multiple AntiSpyware scanners.
- Scan for and eliminate all viruses/trojans/worms with an antivirus
software NOT currently installed on their system.
- Update all hardware drivers straight from the manufacturer of each
product - not the Microsoft update site.
- Update each software package they use to the latest revision/service
pack/patch level from the manufacturer of each application.
- Uninstall any unneeded software from their system.
- CHKDSK their hard disk drive(s).
- Defragment their hard disk drive(s).

After that, it is recommended you make a backup of all important files
(email, contacts, documents, pictures, spreadsheets, favorites, etc.) and
then turn off the system restore, reboot, turn on the system restore, reboot
and Then - download and install the FULL version of the Windows XP Service
Pack 2.
