I had similar problem, tried everything form internet.
After a brainwave i had a look at the logs from our pix and found: Dropped
UDP DNS reply from Outside .... packet length 729 bytes exceeds configured
limit
After configuring the pix with: fixup protocol dns maximum-length *** (where
*** is the length out the logs) everything works again.
It seems that because Microsoft is mirroring the update site at a host with
a ridiculous long dns name, the pix blocks this as a measure against
buffer-overruns
