problem after windows update

after I installed the active x / verification update my office 2003 has been
rife with problems. Emails will arrive with no text visible. Outlook will
close when I try to reply to an email or try to send an email from contacts.
Also, difficulties printing from Excel and Powerpoint. Cannot uninstall from
Control panel "not allowed" message when I tried. What can I do?
