Morning All ,

>From what I can gather this issue stems from the installers being unable to
impersonate the correct user account, due to the lack of token, now according
to several threads this comes from the new "LegitCheckControl.DLL" checking
for administrative rights and returning a false.

The so called RUN-AS failure 0x80240020, however all the resolved issues
have the same main culprits.

1 .Third party security software
2. Routers
3. A problem with the wga component.

Fermu has a good point on the DCOM, eager to find if that works ?

Hugh Janblack posted an interesting reg-key which seems to be worth a look.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\ Notify_Disabled

If you find the Notify_Disabled key , delete it and restart.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
If you're using an administrative user account and get this error , you
might have to create a new user account , if you've already done the dirty on
your firewall and AV software.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And just for kicks I'm including the WGA tool URL.
