Hi,

I think this should work:

Configure Automatic Updates (AU) to "Notify me but don't automatically
download or install them".

As long as you are logged in with an user account that have
administrator privileges, you should after a short while get an AU
icon in the notification area. Double click on it and select
"Custom Install", unselect Service Pack 2, and when later on asked,
select to never show the update again.

You can after this configure AU to automatically download and install
updates, and SP2 will not be installed because it is hidden.
