I received no error messages stating file not found. The only message I
received was the one I quoted verbatim in my last reply.

To test whether BITS will start I have tested it in both manual and automatic
mode. The same error message is received in each case.

I use the Check for updates and see if there are any critical. If so I note
what they are and then use the catalog method to download them.

As to "Keep Trying", I will continue to monitor this newsgroup for any
suggested solutions that might be made. The only suggestions I have taken are
those that pertain to BITS not starting.
I did check to see when BITS worked last, and it was working before Restore
Check point:
Software Distribution Service .02. I don't know what this was, or what
created the Restore Point.... and as I said I can't restore to any point prior
to that one. I wondered it the trouble could be related to it, but have not
been able to find any good information with my searches.
