RE: All Windows Updates Fail

I too have Window XP Home Edition download failures this month, nor notices
from Windows Update which is set on automatic. Unfortunately this coincided
with the installation of new spyware and AntiVirus programmes so I have been
running over these to see what the problem was! It seems, then, that it is
nothing to do with them.

I tried Martin's suggestion to rename WindowsUpdate.log but it refused to do
this because it claimed the file was open somewhere - I don't know where. I
did turn of the automatic update.

I hope the boffins at Microsoft are on this case.
