Changing harddrives

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I am presently using xp home and I find the storage on my 40 gig harddrive
is way too small. I am contantly deleteing information to make more room. I
want to replace it with a 160 gig harddrive. What would be the easiest way to
transfer the information without losing any of the information I already
have. I am computer illiterate so my instructions have to be simple. Thank
you for your help
